Defend:
Mitigate the Risk of Cyberattacks
How confident are you that you can ward off threats?
We can help provide defense-in-depth to mitigate risk
- 60% of successful attacks are against vulnerabilities that are known and patched
- Too many IT service providers aren't serious enough about cybersecurity
- Prevent -> Detect -> Recover
- Implement "Shrek's Onion"
- "Armed & Ready" is better than bailing water
- Keep your hard-earned money

Layers help mitigate the risk of cyberattacks
A customer recently sent me a picture from her smartphone of a message she was getting on her PC; it was about her antivirus client update. She sent it to me to ask me if this was a legitimate message. I said, “Yes, there’s been an update and I pushed it out, this morning.”
She said, “Ok. It’s just that we’re very paranoid now that you’re in our lives!”
I know she meant it as a joke, but I took it as a complement. It meant that my message was getting across: you need to question everything, be suspicious, and confirm rather than assume what is legit and what is not.
After an assessment, I can provide managed services to your organization to ensure continuous protection. Clearly, no one is 100% immune to a cyberattack; but there are so many things that can be done to thwart the chances that a threat is successful against your organization.
A “Defense-in-Depth” approach includes 3 levels to take into consideration:
Prevent -> Detect -> Recover
To address all 3 levels, you need to provide defenses at all of them; I call this “implementing Shrek’s Onion”: “Layers! Onions have layers; ogres have layers!”
You focus on your business, do what you do best, and I’ll do everything I can to mitigate the risk that you have to hand over your hard-earned money to cybercriminals.
